DIGITAL MARKETING – MOTOROLA RAZR FOLD Part-time | Remote is fake

I got a message on LinkedIn saying that “DIGITAL MARKETING – MOTOROLA RAZR FOLD Part-time | Remote” is a job opportunity.

Out of curiosity, I opened the message and clicked the application link. I was using my mobile at that time. After that, the person messaged me and asked me to open the link on a PC instead.

I had already downloaded the file on my mobile and extracted it. When I checked the files inside, I noticed some content that was not relevant to a digital marketing job. That felt odd, so I deleted everything.

At that moment, I was busy and couldn’t check it properly on a PC. I asked him when the last date to submit was, and his reply was just: “Please take 5 minutes to watch it.”

I left it there.

The next day, I opened my PC and tried again because I’ve been actively looking for an SEO job for almost a year. This time, the link was not working. I messaged him again asking if the opportunity was still available. I honestly thought I had missed my chance.

Suddenly, he replied:

“Yes. This is a remote and part-time job.”

He again sent messages saying they were hiring for multiple positions and asked me to access the form and review the project details and salary.

At this point, I was very confused.

This time, the link opened a Word document. Inside that document, there was another “Download Here” button. That was the moment I was sure something was wrong. It clearly looked suspicious.

I then searched online and found that two LinkedIn members had already posted about the same issue. They confirmed that this Motorola Razr Fold digital marketing job is fake. I’m sharing those links below so others can check and stay safe.

I’m not sharing the name of the person who messaged me, because it appears that the LinkedIn account was hacked and is being used to scam people. Even the person whose profile is being used may not be aware that their LinkedIn account has been compromised.

This is not a real job opportunity. Please be careful and don’t download or open files from such messages.

Be aware on job scam. The below two are proof
